Farm Works Software was founded in the summer of 1992 by Norman Teegardin, President of CTN Data Service, Inc. Once a farmer himself, Teegardin knows how time consuming and boring record keeping can be. The object of Farm Works Software is to create a comprehensive farm management system while keeping it simple and fun.

CTN Data Service, Inc. has long been respected in serving the computer needs of grain elevators and Co-ops throughout the Midwest. Farm Works Software, which is a division of CTN Data Service, was founded to serve the needs of the individual farmer.

Products now marketed by Farm Works are Farm Trac, a mapping and field and chemical record-keeping program; Farm Funds, a full farm cost accounting package; Farm Stock, a herd management/genealogy program, and Farm Site, a multi-layer, GPS based mapping program. All programs are written for IBM compatible computers and Microsoft® Windows. Recently added to the Farm Works family of software are Farm Trac Mate and Farm Site Mate. Farm Trac Mate integrates with Farm Trac to provide field record-keeping for handheld computers. Farm Site Mate utilizes a palm or handheld computer along with a GPS receiver for site specific mapping and scouting in the field. Trac Mate and Site Mate take the hassle out of mapping and field record-keeping and let you spend more time in the field and less time in the office.

Farm Works also offers Site Pro for agricultural consultants and dealers. Site Pro takes the features of Farm Trac and Farm Site and adds a limitless number of clients so you can easily keep maps along with field and chemical records for your customers.
